Meet Georgio

Georgio was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 25 years ago and was told he needed to get a temporary ostomy. He had many thoughts going through his head, one of them being “I thought my life would be ruined.” He had fears about wearing an ostomy bag daily and this led to feelings of insecurity and depression. One thing that kept him going was the fact that the ostomy was temporary.

Twenty five years passed and Georgio’s J-Pouch failed. He was told he would have to undergo surgery for a permanent ileostomy. He was ready for this surgery and he knew that this time it would save his life and bring back his quality of life.

A year later Georgio was doing great! He gained 40 lbs and gained his confidence which helped him in his career as an educator, his activity in sports, as well as intimate circumstances with his wife. He believes all this was possible because of his Stealth Belt.
